Privacy notice
What we collect, why, how long we keep it, and what you can ask us to do about it.
Last updated 22 October 2026
This notice covers the Get Next Game app and this website. It is written to be read rather than to be defensible, so where something is a real limit we say so instead of leaving it out.
We handle personal data under UAE Federal Decree-Law 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data.
What we collect
When you make an account
- Your name, email address and phone number
- A profile photo, if you add one
- The sports you play and roughly where you play them
When you use the app
- Games you join, create or cancel, and when
- Bookings you make, and the payments attached to them
- Whether you turned up — which is what your reliability record is
- Scores you submit and confirm
When you write to us
- What you sent, the address you sent it from, and the IP address it came from
We do not sell any of it, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles.
Why we are allowed to hold it
- To run the service you asked for — you cannot join a game without us knowing you joined it.
- Because the law requires it — financial records in particular.
- Because you agreed — anything optional asks first, and you can withdraw it.
Who else sees it
Other players see your name, photo, sports and reliability record. That is the point: people decide whether to play with somebody they do not know.
Venues see the organiser's name and reliability for bookings at their pitch. They do not see the rest of the roster's details.
Payment providers handle card details. We never see or store a card number.
We do not share your data with anyone else unless the law obliges us to.
Where it is held
The service runs in the United Arab Emirates. If we ever store anything outside the country, we will ask you first, in plain words, and record what you agreed to — a consent nobody can evidence is not a consent.
This matters for photographs in particular, which is why photo uploads are not switched on yet.
How long we keep it
- Your account — while it exists, and until you ask us to delete it
- Financial records — as long as UAE law requires
- Audit records of decisions staff made — seven years
- Invitations and expired requests — 180 days
- Technical logs — 90 days
"We might want it later" is not a reason to keep something, and is not used as one.
What you can ask for
- A copy of everything we hold about you
- A correction, if something is wrong
- Deletion — there is a page for that, and you do not need to be signed in to use it
- To withdraw a consent you gave earlier
- To object to something we are doing with it
Ask through the contact page. We answer within 30 days.
Children
Get Next Game is for people aged 16 and over. If we find an account belonging to somebody younger we remove it. Where an academy books for under-16s, the responsible adult holds the account.
Cookies
This site uses one cookie, to keep you signed in and to protect forms against cross-site request forgery. There is no analytics or advertising cookie, so there is nothing here to consent to and no banner asking you to.
Security, honestly
Passwords are hashed and never stored in a readable form. Traffic is encrypted. Staff access is limited by role and every consequential action is recorded against the person who took it.
No system is perfect. If something goes wrong that affects you, we will tell you what happened rather than hoping you do not notice.
Changes
If this notice changes in a way that affects you, we will say so in the app rather than quietly changing the date at the top.
